A nautical themed card

Hello!  This is my second post today and also my second card for this month's Virginia's View challenge which is about geometric pattern.  So here is what I came up with:

This gorgeous stamp is from Neat and Tangled and I heat embossed with Hero Arts silver embossing powder, oh my, first time used it and absolutely love it.
After I made this card, I thought maybe I could use a red embossing powder, so I made another one, but I think the silver one stands out more.

Hope you like these two cards, and have a great day!

One of a kind

Hello!  It's been months since last time I posted, so I better kick off with a card that I made last night, totally inspired by this month's colour challenge over at Make the day special, and over at Virginia's View Challenge which is all about geometric patterns.
So here is the card:

For the background, I used Neat and Tangled background stamp on a piece of watercolour paper (was going to do a loose watercolouring, but changed my mind) and coloured in with my spectrum noir markers in 2 shades of grey, and stamped the sentiment on a piece of yellow card then adhered that onto the card.  Very simple but took me a while to finish, A LOT to colour, but I had great fun!

Hope you like it, and have a good day!

Love,

All time favorite Hero Arts flowers + SSS + Clearly Besotted

Hello!  Eventually it's summer time in Scotland, the sun was out today and it was HOT, and everyone was happy, so I thought I'd share a happy card with you using all my favourite supplies.  So here are the photos.

The flowers and leaves I used on this card are from my all-time-favourite Hero Arts set, it's a very old set, I have had it for 4 or maybe 5 years now, and do you what, I still use it all the time.  Anyway I white embossed the images on some extra thick vellum and cut them out.  The 'you' die is from SSS, it's another favourite - when I first bought it, I didn't think I would use it so much, but now hey, I use it A LOT, it's so useful, simple but add a lot of interests on the card.  The sentiment 'are amazing' is from Clearly Besotted (again another favourite stamp company).  I splattered some blue and white ink on my card base, and adhered everything down.  To finish the card off, I also added some sequins from SSS - love love LOVE these sequins so sparkly and clear, can't recommend enough.

Anyway, I used all my favourite stuff and made one of my favourite cards, I really like it, hope you do too.

Sky's the limit

Hello!

Just popping in to share a quick card with you.

The stamps I used on this card is from Clearly Besotted, my favourite stamp company.

Most of my cards are usually very simple and no technique involved, so if you've been making cards for a while, you pretty much know how I made them, really easy.

I'm going to submit this card to this month's Virginia's View Challenge #15

Hope you like this card, and have a great week everyone!

Monsters

Aren't these monsters from Lawn Fawn cute?  I just love the sentiment.  Bought the set just for these 3 tiny stamps.
I don't have the dies, but the images are simple enough to cut out by hand, with some basic colouring, some foam tape, that's my cards done.  Super easy.

You are beautiful

Hello!  Time for another Colour Me challenge, and this week's theme is striking, the two colours are:

Pretty colours, aren't they?  And here is my take on.

I white embossed the lilies (Clearly Besotted) on vellum, and coloured the images in with my markers.  The sentiment is also from Clearly Besotted - one of my favourite stamp companies.

I simply adhered the image onto a white panel and added some sequins here and there.  I put the white panel on a grey card base, but the card base looked very empty and not at all interesting.  I didn't have any background stamps so I drew these diagonal lines with my markers and a ruler, and it worked quite well.  I used some foam tape to pop the white panel up to give some dimension.

I'll also submit this card to this month's Virginia's View challenge, all about layers and dimensions.

Hope you like this card, and there's still a little bit of time left if you want to join in and have some fun.

Have a great weekend.

Beep boop birthday

Hello!  Time for a layout challenge over at Make the Day Special blog.

And this is what I came up with:

Just love this little robot from Lawn Fawn, too cute.

Especially for you

Time for a new Colour Me challenge, and this week is monochromatic.

And here is my project based on the colour.

The idea is inspired by Jennifer McGuire, a few months ago she did a video on how to achieve a faux laser cut card using die cuts, and I totally loved the look and the idea of it.  So I used this Memory box die which I thought would be perfect, and a dragonfly die from Clearly Besotted to go on top, and it work out quite well.  I'm pleased with the result.  The sentiment I used is also from Clearly Besotted, I just think the font and the design are a perfect match.  To finish things off, I added some sequins from Simon Says Stamp, oh I LOVE these sequins entirely too much, they are super shiny and good quality, really add lots of sparkles on your cards, and very inexpensive.

Hope you like this cards, and thanks for stopping by.

Have a wonderful weekend.
